How it all began…

Like many things in life, a hobby has turned into a passion. I’ve always loved to cook and develop intense flavors from the simplest of ingredients. Years ago, I was a regular backyard BBQ guy. Then, I bought my first ceramic egg and dove into the world of smoked meats. The more I explored, the more I found my true passion was producing high quality food with the most primitive cooking technique, a fire.

Along the way, I developed spice blends, rubs, and BBQ sauces to compliment my smoked meats and Glacier City BBQ menu slowly formed. Once I retired from the US Army after 21 years of service, I decided to launch Glacier City BBQ in 2021. Now, we are offering the Girdwood Valley, Anchorage area, Matnuska/Susitna Valley, and Kenai Peninsula top quality Southern BBQ!
